Our First Christmas

What a wonderful world.... I am so thankful for the people in my life. I cannot believe how much of an influence others have on me and I am so blessed for it. Tis' the season to be Jolly!
It was our first christmas being married and boy what a fun one- I have been keeping my presents for Garrett a secret far too long... I was so excited to have him open them and see what his reaction would be... What was great is that we were like little kids all over again, slept at the in-laws and opened presents there in the morning and SANTA CAME!!! He even left me a note and ate some really healthy things leaving a big mess behind.
Driving to my aunts house for some delicious christmas waffles was way too early!!! It is tradition every year to eat waffles and breakfast out on the farm... Sorta Farm...
Not leaving till 2 o clock and recieving some really sweet gifts we finally made it home to open our own gifts for one another... It was different to be by ourselves but also fun and exciting- I'll tell ya though upwrapping gifts with two people goes by super fast! Venturing on to my dads house, watching movies, drinking hot chocolate and taking a nap, back home stopping at Walgreens for some .99 cent pizzas and chips, eating ice cream and oreo's shortly after... I would say this was a four pound gaining process over two days... Sad to say I ate terribly and my body hates me for it, but at the time I loved it....
I love Christmas time because we get to lounge around, eat bad, watch movies, and most of all be with the people whom are most important to us!!! My husband Garrett is the best, and most thoughtful of all people... I truly got lucky marrying this guy.
I will try to enjoy this last week of the new year- teaching 24/7 and getting in some long runs for I need to train for the Orem Marathon in June!!! yeah that was my present!!!
Get Runnin!

Sounds wonderful Arial! I remember our first Christmas as newlyweds and its fun to hear your similar experience! I hope I see you one of these days! :D

inspiration!

your fate is in the stars, this is the day you've been saving yourself for. this is the day to stop playing it safe. this is the day to be who you ahve always known you could be. this is the day to go beyond mere planning, to go beyond just thinking about it. this is the day to live with all the fullness, all the richness you know possible. this is the day to stop testing life, and to give yourself fully to the best possibilities. being who you truly are, giving all you have to give and fully living each moment, is filled with rish and uncertainty. Yet if you hide away from the light, fearing you could lose your own then you will never be the star you could have been in the first place!
When you wish upon a star, all your dreams come tru!!!
DREAM BIG AND WISH UPON WISHES!
